Mostly clear skies allowed
it to drop to 26F last night. Partly cloudy skies so far have led to a rapid
warmup to 45F, though the warmup is slowing down now. Thicker clouds and
showers are approaching from the south, though they are weakening as expected. There
has been winds of at least 6 kt, a bit stronger than recent days. Cloudier skies
with intermittent showers and a more moist lower atmosphere will lead to less
radiational cooling tonight but also less daytime heating tomorrow. Snow
showers could briefly dip the temperature down to 32F or 33F due to
evaporational cooling and melting, especially at night, even outside of
radiational cooling. Winds will return to light southeasterly.
