It turns out that the partial clearing early last night actually filled in completely, leading to almost no radiational cooling and a low of 37F! Despite the clouds and lack of mixing, there somehow was 11 kt of wind this evening. The thick, persistent clouds also led to a high of only 42F. It will be cloudy again tonight, leading to almost no cooling. Some breaks in the clouds tomorrow and a slightly warmer air mass should lead to a significantly warmer high tomorrow than today, though it is unclear just how much it will clear out. If it clears out enough by tomorrow evening, the low could actually occur at the end (Thursday 06z) with light winds leading to good radiational cooling with any clearing, but this is also uncertain. Winds will be fairly weak as well. Looks to be another day to play it safe and not take risks.
