Skies are surprisingly sunny
and clear so far today in Mt. Shasta ahead of the next Pacific storm moving in
tonight into tomorrow. However, the storm will mostly miss to the south, with
only a few showers expected in Mt. Shasta even with orographic enhancement. It
will be mostly clear tonight through early tomorrow afternoon, allowing for good
radiational cooling tonight and daytime heating tomorrow. There will be some
light easterly winds as well, opposite of the climatological norm, though the
station location and surrounding terrain will prevent strong winds. Clouds increase
late tomorrow afternoon with a few rain or snow showers possible tomorrow
evening or night, as precipitation weakens as it pushes northward away from the
low-pressure center.
