Day 1 of Louisville, KY (KSDF)

Clear skies will lead to some radiational cooling tonight, though limited by the southerly winds and KSDF’s general inability to cool down too rapidly at night. Sunny skies (except a few thin high cirrus clouds in the late afternoon) with warm advection due to strengthening southerly winds will lead to a very quick warmup tomorrow, likely above model guidance as is typical for this time of year. However, after the weekend cold front, it does not seem as much warmer than models as it was earlier last week, and the colder low-level air mass could take a bit of time to completely be scoured out, so I would caution against going too warm. The sunshine will help mix down stronger winds aloft down to the surface.
