Light
winds, clear skies, and dry air led to a quick cooldown to 29F last night. Full
sunshine led to a daytime high of 60F, surprisingly no warmer than the USL this
time. South-southwesterly winds peaked at 13 kt this afternoon. Winds will be
light tonight, and with clear skies and dry air again, rapid radiational
cooling will occur again. However, winds might not calm down quite as much as
last night, and dew points could rise a little, with a low of 2-4F warmer than
last night expected, though it could get colder still if there are any periods
of completely calm wind. Tomorrow will be cooler than today, probably by 3-5F, with
northwesterly winds (though not strong) advecting cooler air.
