Very
quiet weather dominates now, with clear skies tonight and tomorrow. Combined
with dry air and light winds, there will be good radiational cooling, with
temperatures likely falling below most models. Sunny skies will lead to a quick
warmup, though as shown by last week, KABQ does not warm up above model
guidance even with sunshine unlike most other places. Winds will be quite
light, with maximum sustained winds closer to USL and other model guidance as
opposed to the high values last week, with no mesoscale features to produce
quick bursts of wind. For a quiet day, there’s a surprising amount of disagreement
on both low and high temperatures, but basing off yesterday’s forecast for
today, which was rather similar just shifted colder, it looks like HRRR is good
for the low but too warm for the high.
