Day 3 of Crescent City, CA (KCEC)

Not surprisingly, clouds kept it from cooling down much last night, with a low of 46F so far, though the day 2 low will likely occur tonight near the end (Thursday 06z). A couple of showers dropped 0.02” this morning. Clouds cleared in the early afternoon, with a warmup to 53F before the northwesterly onshore winds kicked in, with a maximum of 18-19 kt so far. Winds will gradually lighten tonight, and combined with clear skies, will lead to better radiational cooling late in the night. Full sunshine will lead to a quick warmup initially tomorrow to a similar high as to today before the sea breeze stops the warmup by around noon or so, though the onshore northwesterly winds will not be as strong as today, with the pressure gradient being weaker.
