Cloudless
skies with northerly offshore winds, cold advection, and dry air will
lead to quick cooling tonight. The winds will initially be too strong
for good radiational cooling, but they will lighten just in time late
tonight to allow for better radiational cooling right around sunrise.
The lingering light northerly wind and cold advection will limit daytime
heating tomorrow to some extent, but full sunshine and dry air means
that temperatures will likely exceed most model guidance, though still
unseasonably cool by northern Florida standards. Given the strong
sunshine and slight cold advection mixing down any stronger winds aloft
down to the surface easily, maximum winds will likely be at least 10 kt
even with the rather weak pressure gradient during the day. The maximum
wind could actually occur at the beginning as well, when the northerly
flow is generally stronger.
