Day 10 recap:
Well, the 56F in the evening meant nothing for the temperatures late in the night, as the strong low-level winds bringing low clouds and moisture came in before 06z, limiting the low to 63F. As expected, the winds shifted to westerly (max 27 kt before that) ahead of the cold front. This shifted the dry line to the east, with rapidly falling humidity combined with compressional heating and full sunshine causing temperatures to soar to 99F, the hottest ever in the WxChallenge! The old record was 98F set also for the tournament in Wichita Falls back in 2012.

Day 11:
Moderate southerly winds all night, increasing low-level moisture, and some low-level clouds forming late in the night tonight will prevent rapid radiational cooling. With the southerly winds advecting moisture continuing into tomorrow, whatever low clouds that form will be slow to break tomorrow, but there will not be an overcast deck to begin with. The low-level clouds will transform into scattered cumulus by afternoon. So temperatures will still warm up decently tomorrow but it will not extremely hot like yesterday. Despite the moisture and warmth, a lack of triggers and a capping inversion will prevent storms from developing.
