Stiff
southerly winds and clouds will prevent much radiational cooling tonight. A few showers or thunderstorms are likely along the
dry line that will pass through late tonight, though the lack of daytime
heating at night or deep moisture will prevent much stronger convective winds or very
heavy rainfall, and rainfall amounts are expected to be rather light. Behind
the dry line, skies will clear completely, and the whole column turns much
drier. It will be quite breezy with strong southwesterly and somewhat
downsloping winds tomorrow, with clear skies, dry air, and hot temperatures,
perhaps hotter than model guidance. The sunshine and slight downsloping will
help the strong winds from aloft to efficiently mix down to the surface. The
winds will lighten a bit but will still be too strong for good radiational
cooling tomorrow night, though with the drier air and clear skies, it will
still cool down rather quickly, making for a low at the end (Wednesday 06z).
