Winds
turned to the south last night but stayed light enough for a cooldown to 36F.
It warmed up quickly to a high of 64F, and a max wind of 13 kt. Tonight,
there will be some southerly winds again, perhaps a bit stronger than last
night, but not strong enough to completely inhibit radiational cooling. Skies
will still be completely clear. With full sunshine tomorrow again, it will warmup
quickly, with it being warmer than yesterday with southerly flow and warm advection
continuing. Winds will be slightly stronger than yesterday, with the full
sunshine and vertical mixing leading to efficient mixing of any stronger winds aloft
down to the surface. Model bias should be similar to day 7 (e.g. a few degrees
warmer and a bit less wind than USL).
