Unlike
the first week of KDFW, the weather isn’t the most exciting for the first week
of KRDU. A weak high pressure off the southeast U.S. coast, combined with a
strong low pressure to the north over Quebec, will lead to southwesterly winds
persisting tonight, just strong enough to prevent ideal radiational cooling
like the last few nights. Some cirrus clouds will also limit radiational cooling
somewhat, but given the station’s tendency to cool off quickly and the dry air
mass, it will probably still get below model guidance with some radiational
cooling. The clouds will move away later tomorrow, allowing for almost full
sunshine with downsloping west-southwesterly winds and a warm air mass leading
to exceptionally warm temperatures for November, likely above most model guidance
and warmer than today.
