Winds
calmed down enough last night for it to drop to 37F, with very little cloud cover.
Sunny skies led to a rapid warmup to 68F, despite the supposed cold front last
night and much warmer than modeled. Max wind of only 9 (or possibly 10) kt,
which is a bit surprising given the sunshine and surface heating inducing
boundary layer mixing, and winds up to 15 kt observed in some nearby locations.
Winds will be very light or calm tonight and tomorrow. Increasing mid to high
clouds tonight will offset the calm winds somewhat and lead to a similar low
temperature to last night. The same clouds tomorrow will limit daytime warming and
keep temperatures cooler than today, with it likely not getting as much warmer
than models as today.
