Clear skies with light
winds will lead to decent radiational cooling tonight, though a bit of easterly
wind could slow it down near sunrise. Mostly sunny skies tomorrow will lead to
a rapid warmup, though there is a surprising amount of disagreement among
models on just how warm it gets, likely due to differences in how fast the cold
air mass moderates by the April sun and moves out. At this time of year, temperatures
are usually near or slightly above the upper end of model guidance when it is
sunny, though the HRRR/RAP might be a bit warm like it was for today. East-southeasterly
winds will strengthen and lead to modest warm advection, along with some high
clouds later in the day, but they will be thin enough to not impact the high
substantially (maybe 1F).
