Day 5 will be almost cloudless
again! Clear skies and dry
air will lead to decent radiational cooling tonight, with winds near the threshold
of being good for radiational cooling. Such setups are tricky since there could
be brief, sometimes sharp dips when the winds lighten temporarily, but they
also may not occur if the winds stay just a little stronger. There may be a brief period of low clouds due to radiational cooling leading to low-level saturation, but if they occur, they should be brief enough to not affect the high or low. Either way, winds
are strengthen substantially during the day tomorrow, with plenty of sunshine leading
to a rapid warmup. With a warmer air mass, it will be even warmer than late
last week, but otherwise the synoptic-scale setup is rather similar, with a
model bias correction from late last week likely to work well (perhaps except
for the caveat of tonight’s low I mentioned).
