Day 6 of Atlanta, GA (KATL)

Clear sky and calm winds led to it dropping to 41F last night, which is warmer than outside the city as expected. Although it was somewhat cloudier than expected this morning, the clouds moved out for the afternoon, allowing for rapid warming to a high of 69F so far and will probably reach 70F. Max wind of 13 kt out of the southeast so far. It will initially be mostly clear tonight, which will lead to some radiational cooling tempered by the southeasterly wind. The southeasterly winds will gradually weaken, but low-level clouds move in after 06z with increasing low-level moisture which will halt the cooldown will only allow for a slow cool down. A few showers could move in for tomorrow morning. Although rainfall amounts will be zero to very little, the clouds will limit daytime heating, though it will still be warm due to the warm, moist flow from the Gulf of Mexico. The high temperature is a bit tricky since there could be a few breaks of sun in the afternoon that could lead to a temperature spike.
