Deadline moves to one hour earlier due to fallback. I’m not sure why Olympia, WA or even the Coastal West region in general was chosen, given that the weather appears to be about as quiet and monotonic as it can get for November for the next 10 days.
Current storm over the Pacific Northwest will weaken with rain ending just in time to start the period tonight, though a few isolated rain/snow showers could occur at the beginning. Some clearing will occur later tonight but a stiff northeasterly breeze will prevent good radiational cooling. It will still be cold due to cold advection from an arctic air mass over British Columbia and Alberta, though as usual it will be modified due to its passage over the Rockies and Cascades. With the dry, modified arctic air mass, decent sunshine is expected tomorrow with full clearing by tomorrow night. I’m favoring the higher temperature guidance during daytime due to sunshine with a bit of downsloping winds off the Cascades. With winds lightening tomorrow night, good radiational cooling will occur, and the day 1 low could occur at the end (Wednesday 06z), though it’s possible that the calming of the winds occurs a tad too late for the most cooling before 06z. I favor the colder guidance at night during good radiational cooling conditions given the station's history.
