As expected, today was an amazingly
calm day (max wind of 7 kt so far) in Knoxville with clear skies (except a few
thin cirrus) and a low/high of 41F/77F. Still rather calm tonight but with a
bit of southeasterly wind especially just above the surface, some mid-level clouds
later in the night, and a warmer air mass, tonight will not be as cool as last
night. Looks like still decent sunshine tomorrow (except cloudier early morning
and late afternoon) with strengthening southerly winds combining for a quite
warm day for October standards. With the mix of cloudiness, tomorrow’s temperatures
are slightly more uncertain than today’s. Showers will likely start before the
end of day 2 (Thursday 06z) but still a fair amount of model disagreement on just
how much.
