Day
5 in San Antonio is about the quietest it can get. Very dry air, clear
skies, and almost no wind will lead to ideal radiational cooling
tonight, unlike last week. It might actually get colder than model
guidance, like last night, though probably not by that much due to some
modest urban heat island at KSAT. With dry air, sunny skies, and a very
light southerly wind tomorrow with weak warm advection, it will warm up
rapidly to likely slightly above model guidance, like the past 2 days.
With surface high pressure mostly dominating, there will be very little
wind, maybe just random turbulence/subtle mesoscale features bringing up
to 10 kt, even with the strong sunshine leading to vigorous vertical
mixing.
