The clouds were
just thin enough with just light enough wind for a cool down to 70F last night
before warming up slightly before sunrise. Partial clearing led to a warmup to 86F,
with only isolated showers that did not hit KSAT, leaving only a trace of rain.
Maximum wind was only 13 kt so far with the lack of convection, though it could
get a bit stronger this evening.
It’s a quiet final
forecast very similar to many days of the tournament. Low clouds will move back
in late tonight with weak southeasterly flow, limiting radiational cooling,
followed by significant clearing tomorrow, leading to a decent warmup, a very
familiar cycle at this point. Unlike earlier this week, all models agree on a
dry forecast with no showers and thunderstorms forming. Temperatures will
likely be similar to today, with winds perhaps a tad stronger with some
sunshine in the afternoon helping to mix down winds aloft down to the surface.
