As expected, stiff
southerly winds prevented it from cooling down below 71F last night (even warmer than expected actually), the warmest low on record for this day and the latest on record with a 70F+ low. Full sunshine
led to a warmup to 86F, tying the daily record high. The sunshine and vertical mixing led to mixing of
stronger winds aloft down to the surface, with a maximum of 23 kt. It will be
similar tonight into tomorrow, with mostly clear skies other than a few cirrus clouds tonight and a few cumulus clouds tomorrow afternoon with increased low-level moisture leading to a slightly lower high
temperature than today. Winds will be similar or slightly weaker than today. A cold front will be
approaching at the end (Thursday 06z), though should arrive late enough for the
rain to wait until day 3.
