Day 8 of St. Louis, MO (KSTL)

Persistent northeasterly wind and low-level clouds last night prevented much radiational cooling, with a low of 50F, though it will likely get lower than that before 06z tonight. Clouds then cleared out during the day, leading to gradual warming to a high of 61F. Also max wind of 12 kt in the middle of last night. The winds will decrease to 5 kt or less tonight, and combined with mostly clear skies, will allow for better radiational cooling (albeit USL of 39F seems a bit low). Low clouds are unlikely to be more than scattered tomorrow. There might be some cirrus clouds also, but not much and it will be otherwise mostly sunny, leading to a warmer day than today likely warmer than most models especially the HRRR and NAM 3-km which has been too cool and cloudy since Tuesday night. Winds look rather light too though the northeasterly to easterly wind tends to be a bit stronger than modeled.
