With the cold advection today, it only rose up to 70F despite full sunshine. Seems like winds were not as strong as expected (~22 kt) -- perhaps pressure gradient was weaker than expected. Skies will still be clear for day 7. Winds will calm down tonight, leading to good radiational cooling and temperatures below most model guidance perhaps except USL and NAM 3-km. A rapid warmup will ensue with full sunshine tomorrow, with little wind as surface high pressure crests over the area, with temperatures similar to today. A light southerly wind will develop later in the afternoon.
